Meet Our Crew

Brendan Mulcahy - Founder

With a background in teaching and charity work, Brendan’s 15 years of world travelling eventually led him to Peru in 2012, where he

managed a charity organisation working with disadvantaged children in one of the countries most challenged cities.

From there, he became an international expedition leader throughout Bolivia and Peru - leading over 120 individuals and groups to date. Personally, these years have lead Brendan to connect deeply with the shamanic healing traditions of both the Amazon and the Andes.

He has spent time studying with traditional plant medicines, including Ayahuasca, under the guidance of Master Shaman and continues to take time annually for this work. Brendan also works with sacred sound for healing and enjoys sharing this gift.

Brendan is fluent in both English and Spanish with a deep understanding of the cultural nuances of the country and the unique challenges of travelling here.

Enthusiastic and passionate about sharing an authentic Peruvian experience, Eco Journeys Peru is an extension of Brendan’s heartfelt love

for this magical land and all of creation.

Lara Charlotte - Plant Medicine Facilitator

Lara is the co-founder of The Garden of Peace an Ayahuasca and Master Plant Center in Peru. She and Brendan have been friends for many years and worked together to facilitate the sacred plant medicine journeys of numerous seekers. Lara's role with Eco Journeys Peru is to assist in the safe screening and support of guests in relation to the Ayahuasca Ceremonies which make up our High Amazon Jungle section of your Peruvian Eco Journey.

With a deep respect for traditional plant spirit Shamanism, Lara is under full time apprenticeship with a Master Shaman.

Braulio Torres - Eco Journeys Peru Charity Project Manager

Braulio and his family are from Trujillo. His efforts to provide for the communities of La Esperanza and El Milagro have been a lifelong mission for him.

A carpenter by trade, he and Brendan met in 2012 and have since worked tirelessly, both alone and with groups of international volunteers,

to ensure the basic necessities for those most in need are met.

Together, they have built houses, distributed mattresses,

blankets, medical supplies and clothing for entire families.

The on-going relief efforts after the devastating floods of March 2017 are a daily part of Braulio’s life and a core mission of Eco Journeys Peru.
